Abertay's Student Village!

Work on the long-awaited new Student Village proposed for Parker Street in Dundee is scheduled to start next month, the University of Abertay Dundee confirmed today.
The 498-bedspace complex will take 20 months to build and is planned to be ready in time for the 2010/11 academic year. Around 10 jobs are expected to be created immediately, with many more once construction gets fully under way.
Construction of the £25 million building is being seen as a major vote of confidence in Dundee at a time when other major city centre projects are under review or facing delays.
